Herbst Appliance and Braces?

Hello there. Okay I'm getting the herbst appliance and both top and bottom braces put in today. I'm wondering how severe the pain may be and what to do about it. I've read some stuff already but I'm still worried. Help? Please? Thank you =]

Omg! I just had the Herbst appliance, and today I got braces. Don't worry about the Herbst appliance- it only hurts for a week or so. You see, it'll create sores in the sides of your mouth, but, soon, the tissue there will get used to it and it won't pain anymore. If it really hurts, put wax on the corners of it to make it hurt less. For braces, the same thing should happen, except the sores will be on the insides of your lips (the gums on the inside of your mouth where your lips are). You can put wax on that, too, though, so it shouldn't hurt anymore. Hope I helped!!! And good luck!
