Hercules’ Kiko Femenia close to signing for Barcelona – La Liga news
According to reports in Spain, Barcelona are close to signing Hercules midfielder, Kiko Femenia. The deal is expected to be finalised in a few days time. Kiko attracted a lot of interest from a host of clubs this season but only Barcelona have been able
to meet the release clause of the player, which is believed to be in the region of 10 million Euros.

to make another bid at the end of the season. The Catalans were unwilling to pay more than 4 million Euros for the youngster’s services but their strong interest has forced them to improvise the offer.
The Catalan giants have now come up with a ‘player plus cash’ offer and it is likely that a Barcelona B player would be handed over to the Hercules side in order to bring Kiko to Camp Nou.
The 20-year-old himself seemed interested in the move and wished to pen down a deal at the earliest. He added that it would be great to stay in the Primera Division but expressed his grief at being relegated as a Hercules player.
Hercules CF were one of the three teams who got relegated this season. Deportivo La Coruna and UD Almeria were the others who faced the axe. The player believed that this move could work wonders for both the club and himself. The Spaniard came under heavy
pressure from Hercules officials having managed only a single goal this season from 34 La Liga appearances.
Femenia concluded by saying, "Leaving is out of necessity and for the good of Hercules so it would be good for both sides that I leave."
