Hercules vs. Real Madrid – Half time Report
Jose Mourinho was left in shock throughout the first half as the Spanish underdogs were the team who took the first blood as an amazing shot from Sendoa Aguirre totally shocked the fans.
Jose Mourinho introduced an experimental team as the first team goalkeeper Iker Casillas, the injury plagued Kaka and Pepe along with Cristiano Ronaldo were not included in the squad. Mesut Ozil has not been introduced into the match yet as Real Madrid left the pitch with a goal's deficit at their side.
The match kicked off without the amazing Spanish goalkeeper standing between the poles for Real Madrid as Jose Mourinho sent in a team that he thought would do wonders for his side. Players like Rafael Van der Vaart, Angel Di Maria and Pedro Leon were playing for Jose Mourinho's side but the ball was left at their half as the Spanish underdogs, Hercules kept on attacking and kept on threatening the defense lines of Real Madrid which were well guarded by players like Ricardo Carvaliho and Drenthe.
In the midfield it was all about Van der Vaart and his amazing skills but he totally failed to deliver throughout the first half and throughout the first 20mins, Real Madrid just tried to look for a move but they didn't really have anyone who could get the ball inside the 18 yard box to help them score a goal.
On the other hand, the Spanish team Hercules also played a few youngsters like Sendoa and he was having the best night of his life. The team's manager already told the press that he is well excited about the match with Real Madrid since they are a big team and he would love to play against them to show his players what "real" Spanish football is all about. Hercules, however, turned out to be a very tough side for Real Madrid throughout the first half.
The Spanish team moved the ball around and gave amazing through balls and threatened their opposition time and time again and soon in the 40th minute it was the amazing Hercules midfielder Sendoa Aguirre, who scored it for his team to make it 1-0 to Hercules as they left the pitch with a score line that was just not expected. Real Madrid are trailing behind their opponents and people actually thought that they could "win it easy" against a team like Hercules.
Nothing can be said at the moment as it has happened often that a fast playing team like Real Madrid has bounced back for a 1-0 or a 2-0 goal difference and they came out with flying colours to win it for them.
At this moment, Hercules would be looking forward to keeping their lead by defending the goal that they scored but Jose Mourinho, the Portuguese mastermind would be thinking otherwise. He already has a lot of options on the bench, especially the new German signing Mesut Ozil who needs to make his debut tonight.
If Jose Mourinho can put on Ozil, he is definitely going to aid the team in scoring more goals as he can come up front and help with the attacking and with players like Benzema and Pedro up front, the team can do wonders and they can definitely score.
At the moment the game is going more than just "amazing" for the Spanish team Hercules as they are defeating the Spanish La Liga runner ups of last season; but Real Madrid are definitely capable of coming back from this and they can easily score more goals to win the match. Is the match going to turn around for Real Madrid or are they going to concede another goal? It might just end as a draw if the Spanish giants don't try hard enough. Can they keep their 100% pre-season winning record and can they put on the pressure on the Super Cup winning Barcelona? Well, let's wait and find out as the next half is going to start.
