  1. THE PROS AND MATCHMAKERS SAY BJ PENN WOULD BEAT KIMBO I AGREE I HAVE TRAINED FIGHTERS AND BEEN IN COMP I HAVE SEEN LITTLE WRESTLERS SMASH BIG BRAWLERS  SIZE DOES MATTER KIMBO BIG = SLOW  PENN  LITTLE =FAST

SPEED KILL KIMBO WOULD HAVE TO GET LUCKY OR HAVE THE SAME REF JUDGE SET UP AS THE OTHER NIGHT ON CBS  IF YOU LISTENED @ THE END OF THE FIGHT YOU CAN HEAR THE COMMENTATORS SAYT HEY THREW KIMBO A BONE

  2. you have no idea what you're talking about...First of all, Kimbo wouldn't even stand a chance against the Undertaker..he would get Kimbo in the tombstone piledriver before he can even throw the first punch....R.I.P

  3. Did you even That chump fight last weekend.  Anderson Silva would destroy Kimbo in the first round.  Kimbo has no stamina and would not be able to keep up with Silvas pace.  h**l Kimbo could not keep up with Thompson's pace this past weekend.  you obviously have not seen to many MMA fights because size does not matter at all.  It is the fighters skill combined with his strength and stamina that win fights.  Kimbo landed more then one punch to a second rate fighter like Thompson and he did not go down.  Please get a clue before you talk trash about Kimbo SUCKS, I mean Slice.

  4. ok kimbo could not even knock out glass jaw thompson and the big guys he knocked out are bums on the street silva is not exactly a bum size is big yes of course there a reason for weigth classes but skill helps to kimbo has none silva has alot kimbo is tronger tahst about it

  5. silva has very long legs and if kimbo fell silva would throw kicks at him or submit him.

  6. Your question says 5 reasons but you only stated 4, that says something. Silva has crazy punching and the guy walks around at 215. Silva could KO him and submit him, sorry but you don't know alot about MMA.

  7. Kimbo may have a weight advantage but he doesnt have a height advantage both (6'2") and certainly doesnt have a reach advantage.  With his long extended reach (nicknamed "the spider") Silva could keep Kimbo at an arms length. Not to mention the incredible leg kicks that Silva has there is no gaurantee Kimbo gets inside to exercise his strength advantage.

Second, Kimbo has more power, but he also has a big sweeping hook. A straight jab by any decent striker (which Silva more than is) can get inside those punches and pop a defenseless Kimbo before the hook lands. Either that or the more agile Silva can move and evade the power shots.

Third, Kimbo is a drug user, smoker, and alcohol user and it was obvious in the EXC event his body is not in shape to fight. Anderson Silva however is in fantastic shape and would tire Kimbo out with quick strike and retreat attacks.

Silva is a BJJ blackbelt so it would be absolutely stupid for Kimbo to take the fight to the ground. His lack of skills outside of beating down chumps in back yards will get him submitted before he has a chance to ground and pound.

All of that one punch knockout power for Kimbo is a joke. He had tons of chances to knock out a bad opponent in Thompson and couldnt do it. I suppose if it was an EXC fight, Kimbo could win by ref stoppage though...

There is my logical and more knowledgeable  responses

  8. Valid reasons indeed as a former boxer I know only too well that one solid strike can end a fight but sorry to disagree kimbo as brave and powerful as he is,wouldn't stand a chance against Rickson Gracie who is past his prime never mind Anderson Silva sorry but I disagree but saying that Rickson could still hold his own and more even these days against most but obviously chooses not to sadly:)***

  9. First of all, you say 5 reasons, but you only really list 2.  Ferguson's size, and his strength, neither of which matter all that much.  Many people use Royce Gracie's fights in the early days of the UFC as an example of how size and strength can be nullified by technique.  In this situation, that analogy is perfect.  You have a smaller fighter skilled in grappling against a larger fighter who is skilled in striking, but largely clueless on the ground.

The fact of the matter is, Ferguson is a one dimensional fighter who had serious trouble beating a mediocre fighter in Thompson (despite landing several punches, all of which should, by your logic, have knocked Thompson out).  Silva, who is the P4P best fighter in the world, would be able to use his speed and BJJ against Ferguson and make him tap in the first round, or, if Ferguson can't figure out how to tap, Silva would break off his arm or put him to sleep.

  10. 1. Ferguson is far too slow and his technique is far too sloppy.  Silva would pick him apart.

    2. Ferguson only has about 20 pounds on Silva who walk around at close to 215 pounds and could bulk up for the fight were he so inclined.

    3. Ferguson is strong, but the only way he gets in close on Silva is if Silva decides to close the distance.

    4. Ferguson's power is highly overrated.  He landed many clean shots on James Thompson who has one of the weakest chins in MMA and was unable to knock him off his feet let alone unconscious.

Anderson Silva wins this match up every single time.

  11. And thanks for being today's couch potato expert who has no clue what he's talking about!

edit: I tap out strong guys with no skills who outweigh me by fifty or more pounds all the time. Those guys aren't Kimbo, I'll admit. But they are a h**l of a lot closer to Kimbo than I am to Anderson Silva.

  12. I think you need to go back to the early days of the UFC when there were no weight divisions and mutliple fights in a night. There you would see the lighter fighters tended to slip a great number of punches and work their submissions on the big brawlers. The majority of the early successful fighters in the UFC would be in the 185-205 range. Just look at Royce Gracie, who doesn't have half the stand-up of Silva and won 4 UFCs at around 175. I wouldn't bank too much on your four reasons.

  13. If Kimbo hit Silva with a clean shot, it'd probably be over.  But I don't think it'd happen.  A smart fighter like Silva wouldn't likely get caught, and he's confident enough in his boxing game to even think of challenging Roy Jones Jr.  If he has that much confidence, I'd strongly doubt he'd get hit cleanly.  Second, try watching some old Royce Gracie fights in early UFC days.  He fought some guys 50+ pounds his size and won.  I'd expect it would go very much like that as Kimbo still is a novice at any ground skills.

  14. Those are all pretty much the same reason, but I definitely agree with you. Silva would lose after getting hit by a few of Kimbo's punches to the face.

  15. There is a huge weight difference there, not really a fair fight.  But in the interest of the question, I think silva would have a very good chance.

  16. Another 12 year old kimbo fan. First off that was 4 reasons. Second, Kimbo KOd street guys, Silva could to that to its not that impressive.Third, size DOESNT matter, Royce Gracie practically kiled all the guys he took on. He was about 160 lb and he took on guys in the 200 lb range and won. Fourth, Kimbo sucks on his back, where silva where most likely take him. Fifth, if it takes one hit for kimbo to KO someone, then why didn't 5-7 clean hits not KO James Thompson? Lil FYI, #'s 1 and 4 are practically the same.

If you know MMA, then you would know kimbo is a JOKE. Thompson was winning the whole 3 rounds. First off in round one Kimbo tapped, and the ref didn't call it. Round two, Thompson had a good ground and pound for the WHOLE last minute of the round, and the ref is supposed to call it off when the defender is showing no sign of intelligence defense. He did nothing. This proves the ref was in favor of Kimbo. Who has done NOTHING to prove hes even close to Silvas range. Elite XC has a bunch of c**p fighters, so yea kimbo is gonna keep winning. Put him in the UFC against Jeremy May, I honeslty think Jeremy May would kick his ***.

Go back to playing wiht your action figures, this is why Y!A answers is for 13+ Nobody wants little kids raving on about how Kimbo is champion worthy when he isn't.
