Here's an idea to help plug the Governments borrowing hole and relieve some pressure on taxes.?

Question

Stop giving our money away to other countries.

Economic immigrants should be limited on the amount of money they can transfer to other countries. Eg. 10% of salaries.

Foreign aid should be drastically reduced because it has no longer term impact and only goes to perpetuate poverty.

i think people claiming benefits should be targetted - im fed up of paying for people why they sit at home all day doing bugger all.

also tax caravans - theres an easy tax. im sick of being stuck on the m5 all summer with them cloggin up the roads!

Well, if you're talking about the USA, we are already dead last when it comes to foreign aid as a percentage of GNP in the west. It's a trivial part of the USA budget, and the lion's share of it goes to two countries...Israel and Egypt. I do agree that Israel and Egypt should be cut off cold, but even if we did the amount we saved would be a drop in the bucket, literally. This is not a problem that is going to be fixed by shaving off a few pennies here and there.

the hole was caused by using our money for:

1.large amounts thrown at the NHS..which used the money to create more management jobs  

2.free bus travel for school kids to commit crimes and hassle commuters every day

3.civil servants being paid to work on loads of policies which will never come to fruitition

4.propopping up companies like northern rock..which wasn't even in the balance sheet for this budget...to lower the actual extent of the deficit..

5.large numbers of consultants being paid large amounts per day at 1 point up to 1K a day to advise civil servants depts

6.Gordon the idiot brown selling our gold cheap yrs ago...rather than keeping it for a rainy day..and selling it like now...at $1000 per oz compared to the $270 per oz he sold it for...

7.Look at MPs expenses and spending maybe we could tax them on the capital gains made on their houses whose mortgage is paid by the tax payer..

its all down to imcompetence...

This Govt has been spending money for the last 10yrs like its going out of fashion...typical when there is a problem in Britian its to do with Immigration...

Its cold and wet outside...d**n must be the immigrants again...

Actually your government makes a lot of money "giving away" money to other countries. Last month George bush was here in Africa promising to bring hope to the hopeless. Turned out to be a 17 million dollar 'gift' to buy mosquito bed-nets! Then we find out we have to buy American nets from American companies and we have to pay back the 'gift' in a couple of years with interest, so we will service the debt for a couple of years then when we've repaid it several times over, there will be another big party and your government will tell everybody they have 'cancelled'  our debts. In essence we are paying You to make You look good.  A win- win situation, if you are American.

Won't happen again when this present crop of jackasses are cleared from our leadership, I'll tell you that.
