Here comes the Bride.....!?

I don't know if this fear is rational or irrational, lol! But it seems pretty serious to me... I am a 19yr old college student ^_^ I have sudden fears about marriage... Mind you, I am still a virgin. I am afraid of getting married because I'd have to sleep with my husband... What do you think about that?

Actually, a lot of people have this fear so it's perfectly rational.  Getting married and deciding to become sexually active are both huge steps.  So being a little uncertain about these things is natural.

You are probably afraid to do these things because you aren't ready yet.  When you are ready, the fear will be gone.  Just try not to think of it right now.  The person you choose to have your first sexual experience with will help you through the process.

clearly no one is willing to tell the truth about some things.  If you are getting married, you should be very excited, but nerves are normal especially as a virgin.  First time s*x IS usually a little painful,  To tell you it's beautiful is a little misleading.  There will be a bit of paina nd it will be SO AWKWARD because neither of you will know what to do, where to put this hand, that hand etc. By the end of your honeymoon you'll love every second and it WILL be beautiful and fun.

If you aren't getting married no need to worry, when you do get married you'll be ready.  If you are, try to calm down and realize it is normal to be scared and nervous....for any bride in any situation.

Relax, you are obviously too young to worry about this topic.  When you meet the right man and are in love, you will not feel nervous about this very natural and special act.  You will be ready to take your love to the next level.  Enjoy being young!

And are you actually getting married, or are we talking hypothetical situation?

Either way, I think a bit of nerves is normal :)   And if you are getting married, then don't worry.. I'm sure you'll be just fine!

You're still too young. Continue going to school and you'll come around later. Eventually you'll get over it. Quit wasting peoples time with these types of questions.

I think you need to wait a little longer. When i was 19 I knew I was going to marry my then boyfriend now Fiance, I had no worries or fears about getting married but I wasn't about to rush out and get married then. We waited till at least one of us had a full time job and we could get a house before getting engaged.

It's normal to be worried about s*x for the first time. I don't think you're afraid of marriage so much as the s*x, and you've got a long way to go before marriage anyway.

I was deathly afraid of s*x for the first time for a while. I didn't have s*x until my junior year of college, but when I did it, I was ready and I really respected and loved the guy I did it with, so it wasn't at all scary. I'm so happy I waited until I wanted to, instead of feeling obligated.

Just wait until it doesn't make you uncomfortable, no matter how old you are. When the time is right, you'll know because you'll be ready.

Seems like a pretty rational fear, but you really don't have much to be afraid about. When you find a husband you'll be so in love and the night will be special, you can also tel your fear to your husband i'm sure he'll take it slow.

And the things your read about your first time being sore etc, it's not as bad as all that. Most girls especially closer to your age have already lost the hymen which physically makes you a virgin due to sports.

Try not to worry about it now, you have a while until you find the right man and get married.

No worries. Everything just falls into place after you get married. That is when you accept your body, and that of your husband's. I was a virgin too, and I didn't lose it, until I got married at the age of 31. True, it was awkward at first, but honestly, you just get used to it. If you love your husband, you will be comfortable having s*x with him. It's as simple as that. Don't worry about it now, you're only 19. You may very well change your mind once you meet the right person. Don't rush things.
