  1. The only blackbird that has any red/orange on it's body is the red-winged blackbird.

  2. Yup, RWBB.  Red with yellow stripe on wing (looks orange)

  3. Definitely red-winged blackbirds. In the fall you'll notice them among large flocks of grackles and starlings making their way from place to place in search of food.

When I lived in CT a mixed flock of grackles, starlings and blackbirds appeared at my house about the same time each day in fall and winter and seemed to follow a specific route through our neighborhood. These flocks are quite noisy. They flip over leaves and other yard debris looking for slugs and insects to eat.

  4. Red winged blackbirds.

    Those things are evil!!!!

I think they live near water.

  5. Probably just red-wing blackbirds.

  6. indeed red wing black bird.. they live in open fields with sparse vegitation (vacant lot, highway on ramp/meridian, spare forest etc..). and have a very distinctive call (as if red wings weren't enough) of a loud 'AW-KER-EE' sound...
