Here is a Riddle for you guys. first one who gets it right gets 10 points. up for it?

Question

This old man walks into a restaurant and orders pelican to eat. his meal comes to him and as soon as he takes a bite of it he gets depressed and walks out of the restaurant and shoots himself.

Why did he do this?

Hints: Island, Son, Wife.

Those three things have something to do with the story.

This is my assumption, and no, I didnt take it from any source:

The man shot himself because, before he ate the pelican, probably a few weeks ago, his wife and son went on a cruiseliner out on the open waters. The cruise unfortunately met with an accident and everybody sank on the ship. there's probably some thing that the wife or son is wearing, like an accessory given by the man, prolly got some carvings on it, to recognize that it was from the man, and it got lost in the ocean. A pelican probably wanted to catch some fish and accidentally swallowed the accessory.

few weeks later, when the man went to eat the pelican in the restuarant, and while cutting open the pelican, he probably found the accessory(ring, necklace etc.) which he recognizes it's his gift to his wife or son, and he might guess that they died out in the open ocean. thats why he got so depressed and went home and...=)

I found the answer elsewhere. It's meant to be one of those riddles (I think) where you can ask questions that the riddler can answer with 'yes' or 'no', and so help guide you to the answer.

It would be hard, probably impossible, to think of it yourself.

a pelican had escaped from a zoo then picked up the guys wife and son and took them to an abandoned island far far away! :) am i right am i right! oh and he found uot they found that pelican was found on an abandoned island! oh yeah i almost forget it had cancer and rabies so allllllllllllllllllllll of them put together that  meeennnnnnsss  -  -                                                             _
