I think the Whitney child abuse storyline is being built up to be really controversial. I think if it's handled well, it probably could raise a lot of awareness.

The storyline with Ian spying on his neighbours with an injured leg is so funny! How many hows have used that as a plot?! I can't remember what film it was originally used in but seriously so many shows have used an episode or two with that exact plot - a character gets ill or has an injury which results in them being cooped up inside, they eventually pass the time by looking out the window with a telescope and notice suspicious goings on, usually what they suspect to be a murder plot. Pretty predictable EastEnders. Lol. Think we can kinda guess how it's going to go. Am I right in saying they even used to plot before when Dot was stuck in a wheelchair in her home briefly? They're recycling their own stories from not even that long ago!

I don't think EastEnders is at it's best right now. I know a lot of people aren't pleased with new characters Callum and Danielle already. Personally I'm way annoyed about Honey and Yolande being axed. These women actually have family and a history on the show and there's loads of storylines they could be given if the producers/writers tried. They always seem to manage with the Mitchells and Brannings, and every few months bring along another extension to their families, yet characters who audiences have grown familiar to and are interested in their family life are being axed, whilst random new Mitchell and Branning family members are constantly being added. Sorry, just bugs me.

I was really shocked to read that Garry has been on the show for 8 years now! I'm suprised he's still there.
