Here is my Dad's Chest Report ,WBC, ?

My father is hospitalised before 15 days for Breathing Problem.

Now, he is at home,

The Latest Reports are:

X-RAY CHEST PA VIEW:

1) Blunting of Left CP angle with homogeneous soft tissue opacity seen along Left Lateral Chest Wall.

2) S/P/O Left sided Pleural Effusion with P/O Encystment is likely.

3) Rest of lung field shows prominent bronchovascular marking.

4) Right cp angle appears clear.

5) No evidence of meditational lymphadenopathy noted.

6) Cardiac size with in higher normal limit.

7) Aortic shadow appears normal.

8) Right dome & bony thoracic cage appears normal.

CARDIOGRAM:

DOCTOR SAID ITS OK

BLOOD COUNT REPORT:

HAEMOGLOBIN: 10.8

TOTAL WBC : 8000

POLYMORPHS : 72

LYMPHOCYTES : 25

EOSINOPHILS : 02

MONOCYTES : 01

BASOPHILS : 00

SEDIMENTATION RAT (ESR)

AFTER 1 HOUR : 107 mm

PLATELET COUNT : 438000 /c.mm

BLOOD SUGAR AND BLOOD PRESSURE IS NORMAL.

now my QUESTION is:

Exactly, what the problem, doctor said, there is water in lungs.,

someone suggest for CT SCAN,

so can you suggest me what the problem ,

and for that whats the solution.

is there any more reports are needed???

Is is Tb, or more reports suggest me.

  1. I would think that the doctor would ALSO want to check kidney functions.  

    If the kidnesy aren't working correctly, the excess wter in the system COULD build up in the lungs.

    But usually (not always. . . ) kidney problems casue high blood pressure.

    Still, worth a shot, maybe . . . .


  2. i don't know anything about the chest xray but i do work in a lab so i konw what his blood tests mean. and everything looks normal except for his ESR. the normal value should be from 0-15. his is extremely high and indicates he has some sort of inflammation in his body.
