Hermann Tilke looks forward to successful start of F1 in Russia – Formula 1 news
Formula 1 circuits’ architect, Hermann Tilke has said that he is earnestly looking forward to the successful start of the Russian Grand Prix at the Sochi circuit which is under construction.
Tilke has said that they are currently working very hard on the project of F1 race in Russia along with Omega and Formula Sochi. Moreover, he expressed that they are very happy that everything is going as per schedule and the co-ordination is perfect.
Besides, he said that the new track will surely meet all the requirements of F1 and will also be suitable for MotoGP. He also said that the circuit will be very fast for the drivers and riders.
Additionally, he asserted that the track will also offer some unique and interesting features. He added that the overall environment on the circuit will be amazing.
“Together with Omega and Formula Sochi we are deeply involved in the Russian GP project and we are glad that all works are going according to schedule considering large amount of coordination necessary with Olympic construction. There is no doubt that circuit
will be meeting all requirements for F1 and maybe also for MotoGP. The circuit is going to be very fast and technical and offering a number of interesting features,” he said.
Furthermore, he said that he is feeling very much positive about the future of F1 grand prix in Russia and is earnestly waiting for its entry in the calendar.
“I am very optimistic about the future of the unique race track in Sochi and am looking forward to a triumphant start of Formula 1 in Russia,” he added.
It will be important to mention that the chief executive officer of Formula Sochi, Alexander Bogdanov said that they will hopefully host FIA GT World Series, FIA WEC, WTCC, Formula 3, and Russian national championships at the new circuit with the possibility
of hosting motorcycle races too.
