Hermit Crab help!? Is her leg broken???

Help! My brother's hermit crab has something wrong with her I think. Her first walking leg looks like it's broken or something! =( It has turned like red too. It's bent in a strange way, like toward her main fighting claw(the big pincer one) and unlike my brother's other hermit crab, the strange leg has turned almost completely red! what is wrong?? is this normal? We have never raised land hermit crabs before and we bought them from someone like half a month ago by now. please help!

If a hermit crab loses an appendage it is able to grow it back by regeneration
