Hermit crab heating???

I bought a plant light light bulb for heating a hermit crab aquarium because I could not find any moon glow bulbs. will it work for heating or will it suck out the humidity? please help! thanks!!!

  1. Whenever you add a lightbulb to an aquarium, the humidity level will drop. To keep it constant and continue to keep the tank warm, mist the tank twice a day. Also check their water source more often because that can dry out a lot quicker with a heat bulb too.  


  2. I use the same, moon glow bulbs are harder to find. My hermit crabs are very healthy, so i think it is okay.  

  3. yes most bulbs suck out humidity so definitely mist the tank more often.
