Hermit crab moulting?

is there anyway to tell ahead of time that my hermit is going to start moulting in awhile like ppl have told me if you see the signs put him in the iso.tank but what are the signs? by the way i just got 2 hermits ... if that makes a diff.... another question that has nothing to do with the last one is it smart to get a girl and a boy?

Hermit crab moults dont take long, so there really arent any signs....... if you got a boy and a girl you may be expecting baby crabbies...
