Chris Smalling and Javier Hernandez have both come out and added fuel to the fire at Old Trafford ahead of Manchester United’s clash against Liverpool in the English Premier League. After drawing with Liverpool early on in the
season at Anfield and then losing to them in the F.A Cup, Sir Alex Ferguson’s men will look to make amends when they face Kenny Dalglish’s team at Old Trafford on Saturday.
However United will be without several key players such as Luis http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 will expect his men
to go for the win at their home turf given that they must gain all three points in order to keep pace with Manchester City in the Premier League title race.
Smalling missed out on United’s last league match against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 which ended in a three all draw at Stamford  Bridge whilst Hernandez who recently returned to fitness netted the equalizing goal against the Blues in London last
week. Sir Alex might start with the young striker this time around but nothing is for certain at the moment.
Hernandez said in his remarks, “To beat http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 it doesn’t matter in which position of the table you are – you need to win that type of game. It’s a lot of motivation to know we can change number 19 to 20. We want to play very
well, to win those three points and to keep fighting to the title.”
On the other hand, Smalling who knows some players in the Liverpool line up from his time with the England national team said, “You want to win no matter what. We’ll be going all out to definitely put one over and obviously a few
of us know a few of their lads through http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 so it’s even more rivalry."
Three points for Manchester United will temporarily put them at the top of the Premier League table until Manchester City play again on 12th of February, 2012 against Aston Villa at the Villa Park stadium.
