The Manchester United striker who was bogged down with a combination of injuries and fatigue last season has now come out and stated that he is confident of the club’s ability to win the league title in the upcoming Premier
League season...
Javier Hernandez has admitted that he thinks that Manchester United are more than capable of winning the English Premier League title next season. Sir http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson kept the Mexican forward from competing in the London 2012 Olympics
for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mexico-c2956 as the young forward needed some rest after appearing fatigued and jaded for a large part of the previous league season in which United finished second to Manchester City.
City won the league title on goal difference but finished level on points with the former league winners. Hernandez is now confident that United can give City a run for their money after investing in their squad.
Sir Alex Ferguson has already brought in the likes of Nick Powell and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 after the striker refused to sign a new contract
with the club. However other clubs have also improved their squad as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Oscar-c28720 and Marin to their line up, signalling their intentions to challenge for the league title next season.
Manchester City on the other hand have been relatively quiet this summer but http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323 has hinted that they are keeping a keen eye on Van Persie’s situation at Arsenal as well as on a number of other potential targets as well.
Hernandez said, "I think we all learned a lot from last season and we're confident we can come back this season. I don't want to be obsessed with scoring goals, I don't want to be only that player who only scores goals, and if
I score goals I've played well and if I didn't score goals I played badly.”
He added, “If the goals are coming then good, but as I've always said, I would swap every one of my goals for a title with Manchester United.” Sir Alex will hope that Hernandez regains some of his old goal scoring form and shares
the goal scoring burden with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wayne-Rooney-c36736 up front in the new Premier League season.
