The Biancazzurri midfielder linked with Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool; neither club has made an official contact as yet.
The agent of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lazio-c39775 midfielder, Hernanes, has hinted that his client is open to a summer move to English Premier League.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Hernanes-c16150 has been a revelation since joining the Biancazzurri before the start of the 2010/11 season. The Brazilian finished as the top goal-scorer for the capital club in his debut campaign, and has amassed nine goals so far this season.
The attacking midfielder’s performances have not gone unnoticed, and have attracted interest from several English sides. Tottenham Hotspur and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 have reportedly sent their scouts to assess the midfielder’s performances on numerous occasions this season.
Lazio will be reluctant to sell their prized star, as he has been the main contributor for them in the past two seasons. The 26-year-old has formed a formidable partnership with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Miroslav-Klose-c26049, and the duo has altogether scored more than half of Lazio’s goal this season.
The Biancocelesti value their star midfielder at approximately 20 million pounds, and will not drop a single penny. Hernanes’ agent, Joseph Lee, insisted that it’s early to talk about the player’s future, but the Premier League interest has certainly tempted his client. However, he suggested that no official offer has come his client’s way.
While talking to the reporters, the agent insisted:
“It’s too early to talk about what Hernanes will do. There is interest in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 and above all the Premier League, but no written or official proposal yet. We will evaluate what to do in June. I don’t know if Lazio have spoken to Italian or English clubs, such as Liverpool, but all I can say for certain is that we have not received concrete proposals.”
Liverpool and Tottenham already have some Brazilian players in their squad, and both clubs will be looking to use their Brazilian influence to lure the midfielder to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749.
Hernanes has been criticised for his recent slump in form, and was dropped from the starting line-up in Lazio’s 3-1 defeat to Parma at the weekend.
The midfielder has scored 21 goals in 65 appearances for the capital side so far.
