Celta Vigo coach, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Paco-c29025 Herrera, has pleaded his players to stop making mistakes and start picking up points.
Herrera’s men have suffered their second consecutive defeat on Monday and their coach believes it is their mistakes that are costing them dearly in the domestic league.
The Celta tactician believes that after their efforts against Betis, losing 1-0 to them was a harsh punishment for his side.
“We are all unhappy because it is an unfair result, but this is football.”
The Spaniard has lamented his side’s frequent mistakes in the Primera Division. He admitted that the major issue that is hindering their progress is the mistakes his players make at both ends of the pitch.
“This has been repeated in many games. We have a clear problem within both penalty areas and that is not helping us.”
Herrera believes his players give their all and create chances that are enough to win games. However, what is more frustrating for the 59-year-old are the clear-cut chances his team makes every time and yet again never come to materialize. It is a harsh
reality that the Spanish strategist finds it difficult and cannot simply fathom.
“To have clear opportunities at goal as we had and to score with none of them is difficult to comprehend.”
Moreover, the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 assistant stated that his players are making things difficult for themselves and also admitted his team’s win over Real Madrid on Wednesday took its toll on the players.
“We continue to complicate life in League matches because we are making many mistakes. I now believe that last Wednesday’s win over Real Madrid has not helped.”
Because of the extra energy they have exerted in the Copa del Rey encounter with Los Blancos, the players looked less energetic and were far from fresh.
“The effort that day has been paid for in this game, the players were not fresh.”
Celta Vigo are slowly getting closer to the relegation zone.  A mere two points separates them from those sitting in the drop zone. Currently they sit on the 15th position with 15 points in the Primera Division.
