“In case u peeps ask why I giv (e) away stuff (the trophy), the only thing I wanted was a wcup (World Cup) winners’ medal and that’s not gonna (going to) happen, so I’ll give wats (what is) left,” the flamboyant batsman posted.

He gave away his cricket shirt that he wore in his last appearance for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757, his sunglasses and his cap to his 20,000th follower as currently his followers count is 19,933.

Gibbs has been in the news in recent times when he found himself in a controversy after he released his tell-all autobiography in 2010. He claimed in the book that there are “cliques” that have been formed in the current Proteas squad. He also replayed his
“sexual-escapades” during foreign tours and found himself under fire when the CSA intervened.
Gibbs, who has played 248 One Day matches and 90 Test matches stated on his Twitter account that he has been giving away his stuff for the past twenty years and now he is left with only two Proteas shirts.
