Herts finally fizz off their haunting memories
After their humiliating defeat against Lincolnshire, the Herts are back in the game with a 19-19 draw against Nottinghamshire.
With the help of these results, Hertfordshire was finally able to grab the opportunity to get back in the league.
The ladies team was able to perform exceptionally well to cruise into the next round of the tournament with the help of 6-0 victory.
However, it was Hatfield’s Janet Driscoll who was among the first to initiate the process of the ball rolling.
A 3-1 victory, in this context, played a vital role in paving way for the Herts to strengthen their position in the event overall.
The procession of triumphs continued to work for Hertfordshire in the form of matches then played by Debbie Essam, who was able to secure a 3-0 victory.
This was yet again followed by the success secured by Tracy Tarsey, who yet again added to the stability of the team’s position, with 3-2 on the score board.
As if all of this was not enough for Herts, it was Kelly Brown who cemented the stability of her team’s standing with a 3-1 success.
For women darts players belonging to Herfordshire team, the achievement was nothing less than a remarkable win.
They were once again able to accommodate themselves among the best of darts with their spectacular comeback performance.
Similar was the scenario in the men’s darts competitions. In the campaign opening match, it was Jason Neville who finally got hold of his long lost form to mark a win with a score line of 3-2.
It is also important to mention here that Jason, after losing the first two legs of the game, got the chance to capitalise on his opponent’s weakness.
His comeback was dangerous enough to lead to his success. Jason’s success could only add a fleetingly dominant position to Herts.
It vanished with the next encounter of Dan Mitchell that ended in a defeat for Herts.
This was however, compensated by a 3-2 victory achieved by Alan Nateghi to continue the dominance of Herts in the tournament.
The tournaments between different leagues play an extremely pivotal role in helping to develop the visage of darts in the mainstream.
