Hes Getin Nearer favourite for Stondon Dash – Dup
Hes Getin Nearer is rated as favourite to win the Stondon Dash – Dup at Henlow in England on Thursday, June 28, 2012. His victory will earn his owner a cash prize of £150.
Looking at the statistics of all participants, it is clear that no one is carrying a very good momentum at the moment. Due to this, it will be quite difficult to predict the winner accurately.
However, Hes Getin Nearer will like the conditions at Henlow. The shorter distance to cover in the race (277 metres) will definitely suit his running style. Furthermore, he has participated in quite a few Grade OR events, which will given him a slight edge
over his rivals.
The P. Simmonds’ trainee has been unable to win any race since April this year. He appeared to be in good rhythm at the start of 2012, but hi form has dipped to some extent over the past couple of months.
The black dog was given a starting price of 8 to 1, in the race he won. He was one of the least favourites to shine back then, but proved everyone wrong in the end. His speed was impressive, but he had to fight hard to finish at the top of the table. He
did manage it in the end by a marginal difference.
Since that victory, Hes Getin Nearer has been unable to make a solid impression in this class. He has been fighting for the top three positions with consistency, but victories have dried up for him. However, there is a solid chance for him to break the shackles
at Henlow.
Dods Delight’s son took part in a couple of Grade A2 events recently, but failed to win any of them. Despite that, his performances were not bad enough to rule him out of contention today.
In his most recent outing, the favourite hound was given the best odds for victory, but he finished runner up by one length. He got crowded badly at the start and was unable to recover from then onwards.
The bookies believe that Burnpark Brave might manage to cause a few problems for his opponents in the race today. However, he is not in good form right now, which will discourage the punters from placing bets on him.
