He’s Had Enough to show that his Breeders’ Cup Juvenile’s strong second was no fluke, in the CashCall Futurity
Previously known as the Hollywood Futurity, the Grade 1, $750,000 CashCall Futurity is the final major contest for 2-year-olds of the year nationally. Contested at 1 1/16 miles, the CashCall Futurity has reeled in a massive lineup of 11 juveniles to run
over Betfair Hollywood Park’s cushion track on 15 December, 2012.
Trainer Bob Baffert will be represented by his quartet that will square off against Doug O’Neill trained He’s Had Enough, who was a head away from winning the Grade 1 Grey Goose Breeders’ Cup Juvenile at Santa Anita Park from the undefeated, Shanghai Bobby,
and to challenge Baffert’s runners, He's Had Enough is joined by the Grade 2 Nashua Stakes winner, Violence.
The Hall of Fame trainer, Bob Baffert, will be sending out a competitive quartet, which includes all stakes winners with the likes of Really Mr Greely, Carving, Den’s Legacy, and Title Contender. The veteran horseman has won the race three times out of last
four renewals.
Reddam Racing’s He’s Had Enough has won just one race out of four career starts, and that was too his maiden breaker, when he defeated maidens at first asking at Del Mar over the All Weather track on 12 August, 2012, going six and one-half furlongs.
The 2-year-old colt by Tapit will be making his Hollywood debut, but after his huge effort in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile, where he was sent at 20 to 1 on 3 November, despite getting into trouble on the final turn, showed an amazing turn of foot to lose it
just by a head.
The effort was huge, especially when the colt was coming off an 11th place finish in the Grade 1 Dixiana Breeders’ Futurity over Keeneland’s synthetic footings going 1 1/16 miles on 6 October, 2012.
He’s Had Enough has tried the polytrack twice, dirt once, and his second career start was on turf at Del Mar, where he participated in the Oak Tree Juvenile Stakes on 5 September, 2012, and finished sixth to winner, Dry Summer, who covered the 1 mile distance
in 1 minute and 35.16 seconds.
Out of Dixieland Band mare Amelia, He’s Had Enough was unlucky with the draw, as he got the rail in the field of 11, but Mario Gutierrez will retain the ride.
