Heston Bale and Noble Pedro get AGRA’s Run of the Month title
The two dashing Australian greyhounds, Heston Bale and Noble Pedro, have bagged AGRA’s Run of the Month for December 2011 title for their outstanding and record-breaking performances in two consecutive races  at two different venues of Sydney and New South
Wales on the night of December 17 which is regarded as a unique night in the history of the states' races.
By finishing up with 29.45 for 515 meters race in the Silver Chief, Heston Bale broke the 29.61 record of Turanza Bale which set it in the Silver Bullet of 2009.
Whelped in 2009 by Bartrim Bale, Heston Bale is a black dog which is trained by Dailly team and raced by Paul Wheeler. The greyhound has participated in 14 races so far, winning 8 times and earning $50, 465.
On the other hand, Noble Pedro set a record of 29.43 for 520 meters race in the final of the Group 3 Xmas Gift at Wentworth Park, surpassing the previous record of 29.44 held by Queen Lauryn , a female dog which got it in the Ladies Bracelet of 2008.
Noble Pedro, a Red Brindle and White dog, was whelped by Where’s Pedro in March 2009. He is trained by Mary Wright and raced by Tim Caines. Out of his 42 races, he has won 23, bagging $91, 625.
Both the greyhounds have been favourites for the bettors since last couple of years for their excellent performances and impressive records. Their winning ratio has been marvellous so far.
AGRA has congratulated the trainers and racers of the duo for the honour their dogs have conferred upon them, hoping that they will carry forward their winning streak in the 2012 as well and bag more titles.
After notching this ace title, Heston Bale and Noble Pedro have joined the ten previous winners of 2011 including Kalden Mayhem, Buck Fever, Bekim Bale, Miata, Punk Warrior, He Knows Uno (2), Symmetry, Enry Walt, Bobby Boucheau and Queenslander Bogie King.
December 2011 had also been a successful months for some other Australian greyhounds which won some iconic events and set some new records. In the new year, a number of new achievements are around the corner for them.
