We cannot go a week without hearing the word "homophobia" thrown about. So, I propose that FOR FAIRNESS' SAKE, the word heterophobia be given the same amount of attention.

  1. Funny

    yes... nice

  2. awesome point, then again that comes with the whole homosexuals being in the minority but who knows, soon enough maybe heterophobia will be a real problem until then I thank my lucky stars for one sided ignorance!

  3. Heterophobia: sounds funny.  For some reason it reminds me of the term "arachnophobia".  Anyhow, I suppose that theoretically it could exist, but I have never met or heard of anyone who has a strong prejudice or fear of heterosexual people.  There are just too many heterosexuals about everywhere for even a small bit of "heterophobia" to get started.  But speaking of the term "homophobia", I think it's an unfortunate term.  It refers to a fear, rather than a prejudice.  A more appropriate term would be "anti-g*y bigotry."
