I'd like to do it on rose bushes. I heard that some metals can change the color of the rose bushes. If this is true I would like to know what metals change the rose bushes different colors and what colors do they turn.

  1. Interesting project idea!  There are a few factors that will change the color of a plant's flowers (roses are great but it applies to other plants as well, such as hydrangeas).  As you will read in the referred sites, adding nails to the soil (iron) causes change.

Below are some sites that might give you some ideas on how to progress with your project plans.  I'm sure you will come up with something interesting to demonstrate the affect of elements/chemicals/conditions on flower color.

Best of luck to you!  And thanks for an interesting question.  : )
