hey, I found my dream horse online a few months ago, and am trying hard to rescue him from his horrible living conditions, and with his owner sick with Fibromyalgia and can no longer taking care of this energetic and sweet guy. He is a 5 years old appaloosa, his name is Apache, and he is a handsome young man, he is truly a sweetheart and a great friend. does anyone have any tips on making the rest of this horses life the best he could ever have? and it would be cool if anyone had any sites or info, even videos of how to take care of a horse, riding, grooming, bathing, feeding, etc. I am experienced with horses but still got a bit to learn, and so does Apache and thats why i think we will be great together! Hope to hear from you all, your friend, -trish

  1. is it for sale? if you can't afford to purchase it you could consider leasing the horse, do you have a place in mind for it 2 stay?? you should look around 4 the best stables that are local for you, its good that you are experienced with horses that will help you a lot. horses should not just eat hay i hope you know that, they need some pasture, some salt and mineral blocks, and concentrates. plenty of water should be supplied, which is why if your keeping it at a stable you should ask what they have 2 offer. you will need 2 trim its hooves, clean them and make sure it is shoed because there feet are sensitive like yours. i have lots of information but you make sure 2 do your research:] check out these sites they WILL help you :] : http://www.acreageequines.com/HorseCare/
