When I go to Disney World, we pretty muchfigured we'd just rent a stroller. My sister and her kids are going too, but we've decided that we would have our seperate strollers. I have 2 kids that will probably be in the stroller the entire time (10 months and 2 years). Then I have a 4 and 6 year old daughter. People are saying I should have a stroller both of them,(I was planning on having one for the 4 year old, but didn't think of it for a 6 year old. So what do you think of bringing a single stroller for the little one. Then a double for the 3 other kids (who are quite small).

What do you think of that?

  1. Mom of 5 girls I am one of 5 girls! I came from a 5 girl family. I have 4 children of my own, 3 girls and a boy, and also 3 grandchildren. It is my own personal opinion but I thnk that both the 4 and 6 year old are too old for a stroller. The 4 year old will be starting kindergarten soon and I don't think she needs to be in a stroller. On the other hand, you know your children best. If she tires very easily for some reason, and ifd she is ok with it, than it sounds fine. You sure do have a handful there. Even in Disney you have to keep an eye on your children at all times of course. You can give the 6 year old some responsibilty to keep an eye on the 4 year old, of course keeping an eye out yourself all of the time. Good luck and have fun!

  2. If you can find them or if they make them, get a 4 seater stroller.  But if not, your idea sounds good (that is if they can comfortably sit in it).  Kids gets very cranky and even though they are at Disney Land, it could ruin their experience.  Take the strollers, they will get tired out.

  3. My little sister was 6 when we went to Disney World and she was too excited to stay in a stroller. I think only the little ones need to be in a stroller because they don't appreciate everything quite like a 6 year old does. I say let her walk and just if she gets tired .. let her rest.

  4. Maybe you could buy a cheap wagon for the 2 older kids for while you are out there. It has to be about the same as renting a stroller for a week @ $10 a day! Then you could pass it on to another needy family before you go.

  5. Yeah i think you should take the single for the baby and the 2 year old can go in the double with the 4 year old then when the 6 year old gets tired she can trade with the 4 year old.

Unless you are planning on staying there late and the kids will want to sleep in there strollers then you will need the two doubles!

Good Luck Sounds like you have your hands full!

  6. I would have a double for the 10months and 2 year old..

The 4 year old and 6 will be to busy having fun...

  7. You shoudn't take your kids to Disney land before they're old enough to ride all of the rides. It's a waste of money to take a child to a beautiful theme park like Disneyland only to have them cry and demand you buy them things @_@

My advice, WAIT a few years!

  8. I guess it's a good idea. I'm sure you've just though that it would safer foe the 10-month-old  baby to be in a separated stroller and I would agree with it

  9. Disney had double stroller and i would just rent two doubles becuase even if the 6 year old dont use the seat you can put backpacks and other stuff in the seat with the 4 year old. and while eating or somehting you can always have the 4 little ones eat in the stroller while ure walking to a ride. and if one doesnt want to ride a ride then they can sit in the stroller and rest while the others go and you or ure hubby can stay behind. SO my view is just get two double strollers from the stroller rental

  10. if you leave 1 kid at home, that might make more room for a friend

  11. We went to Disney World three times with our children. We went in 2003, 2004, and 2007. In 2003, we had one child who was a 20 months old. She had so much fun. We rented a stroller there and it made it so much easier than bringing our own. Although we did bring a small one for when we went outside Disney. In 2004 we had one 2 year old. She needed the stroller most of the time. She did walk some, but not very much. In 2007 we had a 5 year old and a 1 year old. They both used the stroller, but the 5 year old could walk more.

I would suggest bringing a stroller for all of the little kids because Disney gets crowded and is very large for little kids to keep walking. If you make it easier for them by using a stroller you will probably be able to stay in the parks longer.

  12. That would be a great ideal, when little ones get tired its best to have some place they can sit down.
