Hey, I just found out that I am 6.25% Tuscarora Indian. How can I find out more about Benefits and eligibility

My mother was Adopted but she finally contacted her real mother and she is 25% Tuscarora Indian, which makes my mother 12.5% and me and my siblings 6.25%. I was also wondering is there any College benefits? I currently go to Canisius College and just finished my first year.

Contact that tribe to see if they have educational assistance program.  Most programs require you to be a minimum amount of indian blood.  6.25 is not much.

i think you need to be 10% or more to get benefits...

The information I found says you need to be 1/4 American Indian to get certain scholarships.  But the first step would be see if you can register as a member of one of the tribes.  Go to the DOI links below for more information.

Also, other scholarships have different requirements, so just check into it.
