  1. You have never BEEN in the cab of a diesel engine when it's operating, have you?

NO... operating a train is a whole lot different than playing some stupid video game.  I seriously doubt you would even know how to get the beast moving.. let alone high jack the whole train.

  2. Nope , computers can shut them down nowadays.

Might as well hop it , it only goes in a straight line.

  3. Mastering a video game isn't the same as running a real train.I doubt you'd ever get it moving and if you did you wouldn't get far before you tore it up.That would be federal prison time when you got caught so you better just stick with your game.

  4. There are certain proceedures that the Engineer must go through before the locomotive will even respond. Anyway, you'd have to know the railroad too. If a train was left unattended, it wouldn't be on a track where you could simply, just  go.

  5. Definetly not!!

Besides, even if you did, where would you go?

It isn't like an airplane, where you can go anywhere, you've got two rails, which are controlled by the CTC (Centralized Traffic Controll Office).

  6. no you couldnt,, for one every train has a dead mans clutch which means if the ingeer takes his hand off the train will stop and not restart without the proper comands so dont be stupid and why think that way anyways that kind of stuff could get you into trouble with homeland security.  duh

  7. No you could not, don't care what you think you have learned with your video game, if the engine gets shut down, you will never get it going.

  8. nope

just not the old west anymore.

you might be able to find an unattended locomotive and make it move, but without knowing the rules and when/how to stop, you would kill yourself or someone else.

  9. No, you're a nut for even thinking you could.

There's no more 'dead man's switch' on locomotives.  There's an alerter that will start beeping after a short time, but the engineer is free to move about the cab to use the restroom, fridge, microwave, or dig around in his/her grip, etc.

(yes, the CN has fridges and microwaves in the cab)

  10. Nope, i think u should have a proper training before.
