  1. Yes you need one also- a myspace page. Let your parents know. Always follow the good instructions and you will stay alive. Its increasingly more and more predators trying to get our children.

  2. we as adults see and hear so many horror stories about the stupidity of some on my space  that we fear that our children will do some ot these things that we restrict the kids experience.

You should assure your parents that your page will not contain any thing bad and that they can go to it any time they wish.

Oh by the way keep it clean as in no nude photos of commits that you couldn't say at the supper table.

      Good luck on you quest.

  3. I'm 12 and I have one. Parents take it so seriously that it becomes such a "big" problem over NOTHING! My parents let me have one and they don't even care, as long as I don't add people I don't know. It's just a great way to stay in contact with my friends and I don't even know why some people make such a big deal over it. As for the girl who suicided, she had low self-esteem and it was just stupid.

  4. No, sorry. Your parents are right not to let you have a MySpace. MySpace serves no purpose save exposing you to online predators--of all types. It is a waste of your time and energy; it's like a zoo with no keepers. (Google "Lori Drew" if you'd like to see some of the damage MySpace can do.)

Don't you feel better, knowing your parents care about you enough to set limits and keep your safe? They're really not just trying to spoil your fun or exclude you from the good time you think everyone else is having. They're trying to raise you right. It hurts sometimes but I promise you'll thank them for it when you're older.

  5. im 12 and i have one. just tell them you will put your profile on private

  6. yea.

i mean as long as you don't like talk to strangers or something like that. its okay. just like talk with your Friends. and its okay.

well at least for me it is.

i've had one for 2 years and i'm still fine.

  7. I'm a parent to a 12 year old.  My daughter does have a myspace, but I allowed her to have one with one conditions...I get the password.  I don't do it to control her, I do it to keep an eye out for potential preditors.

  8. If they think you are responsible and under the condition you do not accept unknown people then yes I would allow you but don't accept people for friends that you do not know and don't post provocative photos set you're profile to private and that should be fine.good luck and have fun making one!=))
