  1. strip club

  2. Go to Plaza Senayan or arround Kemang, there are good place to meet other expat. Then you can share with them , like nightlifes, clubing etc.

  3. Jakarta is similar to New York.. Bad traffic, pollution, etc.. (Even in the Highways you can get stuck in the traffic for hours)

So, it'd be best to first get to know the area you're currently living in.. Ask some locals is the best option (If you can speak Indonesian, or bits of it is fine)..

The Jakarta people mostly can speak English.. They can even (Some) speak other languages (E.g. My cousin speaks Mandarin, My friend speaks Dutch) and they're locals by the way..

After you're able to communicate with some locals.. Try to hang out with them (That is if they're around your age) but make sure they're "healthy".. In a way, that they don't do drugs or alcohol or stuff like that, cuz you might get yourself in trouble later on...

Then naturally you'll be able to figure out the daily life of people around your age in Jakarta...

There's another option though, go to the embassy of your country in Jakarta, they help (Obv.) expats from their country in Jakarta...

You can ask from them info or stuff like that,

    Hope this helps

EDIT: My fav. places in Jakarta, though, are:

    > Ancol (Northern Jakarta, they've got Amusement Park - Dufan(Dunia Fantasy - Fantasy World))

    > The Malls (Find some close to your area.. For example, I lived in the outskirts of Jakarta - Southern, so my fav malls are Bintaro Plaza, Cilandak Town Square (CITOS) or Pondok Indah Mall the First (Older) or Second (New one)..

    > Also, those little outdoor restaurants in the streets, they're nice, so Jakarta-ish.. But be very careful, some of those people are baddies and they'd do anything to get your money.. (You know what I mean) - A good ex.: The Baso Restaurant in Sektor 2, Bintaro, Southern Jakarta.. ^^

People around the age of 18 love to hang out in the malls, they've got everything you'd need....

But if you like, museums or so are great...

  5. Great 18 year olds being the expat.

Go to club and find some friends there.

    Bring your team to club.

  6. So what do you do in Jakarta?

    Should you go to clubbing...

    Cheers

  7. There's much placed to visit when you get bored, Jakarta is very Big City, There's a lot of nice and fun placed there, such as ancol, TMII, Monas, TV Studio in Live Programme such as star Dut in Indosiar studio, or even empat mata at Trans-7, or related youth placed. or I have a nice TIps for you, open you computer, and get chatting via IM or IRC Dalnet, then make a friends here, and ask the peoples you meet to go t the nice place in Jakarta, or Drive for half an hour to Bandung city, then you'll find full of joy here. or Fly to Bali in the week end, there's more full of joy there, or even you may want to visit Bangka Belitung island. or go to the sea and get fishing ... it's never be ending when you've starting the journey.

the question is how much time do you have to spend your great experienced in Indonesia? because you'll never have enough time to find more experienced here, the country with bilion of fun.

  8. why dont you do culinary vacation in jakarta??

jakarta has a lot of good culinary, cheap, spicy, and various

then try clubbing or learn indonesian languages?

    go to the museums

    museum wayang, monumen nasional

museum fatahillah (try it.. dont forget to take pictures!)

or you can get away to pulau seribu, I recommend you pulau putri (putri island) which has underwater bridge (just like submarine!)
