The male is a campbells and the two females Winter whites. They were together in the pet store, so i bought them all. Got them home, done some 'how to s*x dwarf hamster' research and there Defferiently a male and female. He constantly tries to mate with them both, but the girls wont have non of it!. I don't want to breed them, but i want to have one litter then have to give away the male, so here's the weird part, i've had them for 4 MONTHS!. Whats going on?

  1. Maybe she just has a headache....lol

  2. Maybe they don't want to

And this question really shouldn't be under 'Birds'

  3. Maybe they just dont like eachother, it can happen. the females may think that the male isnt good enough for them to breed with. This can especially happen  if they are 2 differnt breeds which yours are.

  4. maybe they are g*y? or related or you sexed them wrong!

  5. If it happens it happens. You can't ( and why would you want to? ) control nature.

  6. The problem with pet stores is the fact that they only want to sell there animals to make money and don't really care why your buying them.

the case may be that they are all from the same litter and refuse to interbreed or it might be that they are to young to breed yet.

Usually hamsters breed like rabbits so if your sure of breeding wait and see but if you are not successfully i would recommend you by a new male from a different source.

  7. maybe the males just not their type. or the girls a L*****n xD

  8. maybe they dont like each other???!!!??? my friend had things and they didnt mate instead they were fighting!!!!
