I fail to to understand why a lot of Red Sox fans dislike Manny when as you know, there's always a story behind the story printed in the news. Manny knows the organization much, much more than any fan, so why judge the player in a negative way? He's speaks his mind without worrying about who he offends cause he knows he won't ever please everyone, so it makes sense for him to be... well...Manny.

Yes and no. He has been that player that is like thinking "hey they need me and are willing to pay me millions and they don't care how i play as long as i do good" player, which he takes advantage of and walks all over the team. So he is a negative role model and a bad face for the franchise, which is basically " come watch manny and david slug away!" . So basically apparently they have showed frowny faces toward him and he has finally gotten a clue, or he realizes once the year is over he stops getting paid

manny is amazing.

even though he can be lazy, he still puts out everything.

but his problem is he is a player and isnt part of the team.

he does things on his own and sometimes it costs him big.

You know, I really do like Manny, but I'm at the point where I honestly don't care that much. Whatever happens, happens.

Manny has an out-there personality ("Manny being Manny"!) but at the same time, he's very hardworking (which is why he's a Hall of Famer and one of the leagues best batters).

However, lately he's really being a pain (more so than usual). I mean, just deciding to make up an excuse to sit out of a game? What if Ortiz decided to do that? Or what if Beckett didn't like a certain team's lineup?

Telling Manny to "get serious" would be like yelling a rock...it won't do any good. If Manny keeps up that stubborn, lackadaisical attitude, I'd say trading him would be the best thing. Like I said, I do like Manny, but if the Red Sox management feel it's best for him to go...so be it.

your on a championship team, you need to just play like normal, and is your 20 million dollar option not enough? I think we all know manny isnt worth near 20 million a season, so if the red sox can trade for a .300/30/100 player they should do it and ship the manny circus right on out
