If you're brought up to believe in a certain god or religion but realize at a certain age that it is all total bollocks, then you are certainly more advanced. It shows you've actually thought about it.

And humans are not born "believing" in God.

There is an inborn sense of knowing that there is a power in authority over mankind and the universe. The "name" of that authority is not known. God is the work mankind gives to the authority it ultimately recognizes as being in control... and usually mankind give his invented "gods" names... but, The Name of The One True God, The Creator of this universe and all that man knows of it, has not revealed His Name to us as yet... but man persists in trying to give him one...
