Hey Dominicans- How do you feel about Miss DR's national costume??

.. on the Miss universe contest.

Miss DR Marianne Cruz wore an embelleshed baseball uniform as her national costume. I thought it was really cute, I think alot of people at the Dominican parades will be copying it this year. But I wanted to know if Dominicans felt. Do you like it or do you think she should have kept it 'traditional'??

It is a matter of taste, for me it is a bit to much...I prefer a bit more elegant.

I thought she looked like Miss USA! Specially because of the baseball bat and red white and blue.

I agree with happy feet i think the more elegant the costume and unique to your country the better. I hope she really didn't think she would win best costume with that get up. It looks like a nice Halloween costume but not something you would wear to represent your country at the Miss Universe Pageant. I understand that we are proud of all our baseball players but there is so much more to DR than just baseball.

That reminds me of the year that Miss USA wore an I heart NY t shirt as the costume.
