  1. In general, liver can process one ounce of liquor (or one standard drink) in one hour. If you have a high metabolism, could be less time, slower metabolism takes longer.

  2. Don't count on that "drink an hour" BS. A drink of standard size will raise blood alcohol twice as high if you have a lean body mass of 100 pounds than if you have a lean body mass of 200 pounds. And though the alcohol dehydrogenase enzyme system in a given person at a given time will closely follow zero-order kinetics, there's a range from one person to another, or within one person depending on how "turned on" the system is, that can be below 20 mg/dl/hr, or as much as 30 mg/dl/hr. Figuring two or three will get you to the 80 mg/dl limit, it may take 2 1/2 to 4 hours for all the alcohol to clear. It's a mistake to oversimplify, and a lot of people who think they're playing it safe wind up above the cutoff on the breathalyzer.  Unfortunately, this isn't the time you're at your best for complicated mathematics.

  3. i'm thinking it's like an hour or something.. but that's per serving. so if  you just had a huge mug of beer, it's going to take longer.
