  1. Black eyed peas, black coffee, black bottom cupcakes, black grapes, you can turn lots of foods kind of blackish by soaking in squid ink, "dirty" rice, blackened fish/meat, black bean dip

  2. chocolate cake

    oreos

    really dark chocolate

    coca-cola

    rootbeer

    blood pudding

    burnt toast

  3. You could make mini sandwiches on pumpernickel bread - depending on where you buy it, it can look quite dark. But then again, these are 18 year olds so they might not like that bread?

Doritos makes black doritos - I would find some of those.

You can have large black olives stuffed with cheese.

    Black Licorice

    Brownies

Sorry I can't think of anything else.

  4. black chips

    licrorice

dark chocolate coated stuff (pretzels, fruit, grahm crackers)

    brownies

    chocolate bars

    coffee (not food but whatev)

    oreos

    plums

  5. anything - all the normal suff - just serve it on black plates with black cocktail sticks

people will want to be able to eat and enjoy rather than stand there saying 'that's clever but i can't eat that'

just have one 'black' starter in the middle so they have a choice (served on a white plate for example).

  6. Here are some ideas that might work for you:

Asparagas steamed crisp tender and wrapped with thin slices of "Black forest Ham"

Black cavier on ice with chopped egg, onion, on endive leaves

Black bean Queso dip with blue corn tortilla chips

Devils Food cake bites with black-out frosting

    Black olives

Mini empanadas made with squid ink flour

Black olive tapenade pinwheels with goat cheese

    Pepper encrusted ahi tuna tartare

  7. Licorice.  I know, they arent black but you could do blue corn tortilla chips, you could add food coloring to ranch dip to make it black, same goes with any other food, just add food coloring, like a mixture of green, blue & red until it turns black.  you could also do black olives, black bean dip, sushi rolls, wrapped up in nori (seaweed that is black). hope that helps

  8. Jumbo black olives ...  an 8-oz. package of softened cream cheese with a cheap jar of caviar on top - as a spread with crackers  ...   Did you know you can buy black food coloring paste (in a little jar) at craft stores, in the cake decorating aisle?  You can add it to anything then.....
