but the sub is a little weak. Will I see a difference if i switch the 8 inch 225 watt speaker with a 10 or 12 inch 250 watt speaker?

  1. You can, depending on how you can fit it to your present baffle.  8 inch should be enough but maybe you have a passive speaker, meaning the one with no built-in amplifier.


  2. You should hear a large difference from an 8" sub to a 12" sub. 8 inches is really small for a sub-woofer. I have a bottom of the line 12 inch sub and it rocks. If you can afford it I'd recommend either Hsu Technology or SVSound. They are both excellent sub-woofers. If those prices are too high you can go with a BIC H-100 12" sub-woofer. It won't match the performance of the others but it also doesn't cost as much.
