Hey...Nursery Interview Coming Up....Help Please!! =)?

Ive just been informed that ive got an interview at the beginning of next week....Its at a private nursery.

Im nearly qualified so was wondering what kind of questions they might ask me. Anyone help me?

-What qualifications do you already have plus extra training such as first aid...

-How long till u finish training?

-How are you finding the course you are on?

-What style of learning do you agree with?

-What experience do you have in childcare?

-Have you worked in a nursery before-how did you find it-what were your responsibilities?

They will probably look to see your body language, are you confident ,smily, if kids are in the room do you show interest or talk over them/ignore them etc.

You will def get asked about safeguarding as it is such a buzz word at the moment

Hi, it really depends at what level you will be working. If you are a team leader or level 3 applicant I would want to know what you know about Every Child Matters (what are the 5 outcomes?) and Birth to 3.  Do you know anything about the new Foundation Stage and what is 'inclusive practice'?  What are the procedures you would follow if a child disclosed a child protection issue to you?  If you are an assistant I would be interested to know what experience you have had with the age of the children you will be working with if any and I would ask you how you would deal with an incident of unwanted behaviour and an minor accident.  Hope this helps.

how are you with a child that might throw a temper tantrum, first aid can you cope , what was your childhood like. discipline can you cope with it , have you got patience with child(ren) whats your temperment like when a child(ren) wind  you up and have you child(ren) of your own.

well they will ask all sorts of questions, at my last interview this is some of the questions i was asked, "what is the childrens act,what does it mean" do you know the birth-three matters/early learning goals e.t.c" , what would you do if a child was continously biting other children, thats the sort of things they ask so brush up on your legal acts e.t.c good luck and i hope this helps
