Oh BTW, I'm 16

  1. Hello! I also love historical novels, chiefly about the American Revolution (I'm obsessed with that). Here are some really good ones that I have in my library-

    April Morning by Howard Fast

The Year of the Hangman by Gary Blackwood (this is uchronia- "what if" novel)

A Ride into Morning, The Secret of Sarah Revere, Time Enough for Drums,  and the rest of Ann Rinaldi's novels (look her up, she's pretty good)

The Fighting Ground by Avi (it's a very short book, very, but its just some quick reading)

Johnny Tremain by Esther Forbes (you might have read this before, in school, but it's still a wonderful book)

My Brother Sam is Dead by James and Lincoln Collier (same thing- you may have read this in school, but it's still great)

Across Five Aprils by Irene Hunt is an excellent book too, though it's about the Civil War.

Even though a few of these novels may be a bit young, even for me (I'm 13), I hope I helped, and enjoy!

    -Miss Daisy

By the way, I've never read The Hidden Dairy of Marie Antoinette. I love her too, but I've never come across the book. Thanks for the idea! Also, if you haven't seen the movie, you must. It's the best!

  2. Marie Antoinette: The Journey by Antonia Fraser

The Last Wife of Henry VIII: A Novel by Carolly Erickson

The Boleyn Inheritance by Philippa Gregory

The Secret Life of Josephine: Napoleon's Bird of Paradise by Carolly Erickson

To the Scaffold: The Life of Marie Antoinette by Carolly Erickson

Innocent Traitor: A Novel of Lady Jane Grey by Alison Weir

The Constant Princess by Philippa Gregory

The Other Boleyn Girl by Philippa Gregory

I especially recommend the last one, i enjoyed the movie and i've heard the book was even better.

I looked up your favorite book on amazon and these were the ones recommend.
