what are some bands?

like that sound like the shins, sea wolf, vampire weekend, fine frenzy, neutral milk

you know, all of those types are almost so known that they aren't even indie anymore?

or even just artists you personally like

Oh I thought you were talking about British Indie. I've only heard of Vampire Weekend but what I would class as Indie are these bands - Arctic Monkeys,The Killers,Klaxons,Black kids,Kate Nash,Horrors,Get Cape.Wear Cape.Fly,Kaiser Chiefs, Maximo Park,Stereophonics,The Enemy,The Fratellis,The Pigeon Detectives,The Wombats,Franz Ferdinand,Friends of Ken, One Night Only,Air Traffic,The Sport etc.
