  1. ''The outsiders'' is GREAT for your age. There is a movie about this, too

  2. what do you like to read?

    i'll just suggest blindly anyways.

Ring by Koji suzuki - awesome book

Enchantment by Orson Scott Card - romance

Ender's Game - Orson Scott Card - sci fi

The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown - intresting book

Hearts in Atlantis by Stephen King

Cirque du freak series by darren shan - If you're into childish books about vampires

  3. The classics remain the best.  "Vanity Fair" by Thackeray, anything by Dickens, Oliver Goldsmith, Thomas Hardy or the Bronte sisters. The" Poisonwood Bible" by Barbra Kingslover is great.   It's about a missionary family in the Belgium Congo in the 1960s.   Really powerful read.   Pearl Buck has been forgotten I think.  Be happy to read any of her works.   Start with "The Good Earth" and learn about China.  She won a Pulitzer for that work.    I really enjoyed reading "Moonfleet" to my kids, a great tale of adventure.   Susan Kay wrote "Phantom" which tells the story of the Phantom of the Opera.  She researched the play, the movies and the original work and wrote the complete story.  It was WAY better than any other rendition of the tale.   Catherine Cookson does some great  semi-romantic historical tales.   I hope you try some of these suggestions.

  4. the trilogy by stephenie meyer is great: twilight, new moon, eclipse, and a fourth is coming soon.

i really like sarah dessen and laurie halse anderson. also east by edith pattou, the weight of the sky by sandell, and a ring of endless light and troubling a star by madeleine l'engle. if you like classics i like the scarlet letter by hawthorne and the call of the wild by jack london. currently i'm reading 13 little blue envelopes by maureen johnson. i love to read and i'm homeschooled too. i like to browse the barnes and noble website for ideas sometimes(i don't shop online) because you can browse by catagories there. hope this helps.

Amazing book. Very good. Takes place during the Chicago Worlds Fair and what H. H. Holmes was doing. Great book.
