Hey can anyone help me find a good tripod that will work with a SONY HDR-HC9E?

Needs to have a good height (maybe up to 5 feet?) and I prefer them to be a bit weighty but not too heavy. Preferably under £100.

  2. Best bang for buck tripod is the matthews video tripod from Calumet.

    Around £150 but far better than anything approaching this price.  Bowl level, sliding plate, fluid pans & tilts, double legs, spreader.  Not as cheap as you want, but it really is a false economy to buy anything less expensive.
