Hey can i use butter instead of oil?

i ran out of oil the other day and want to make some eggs. is it okay if i just heat the frying pan and melt oil prior to cooking?

  2. Sure, I use butter to make eggs. Never thought of using oil.  

  3. Yes,  a tablespoon or less will do it.

  4. i always use butter or margarine instead of oil for eggs..   it's a better additive.

    remember, butter has a lower temperature resistance than oil.

    oil?  you used oil for eggs?   in what?       i'm more a margarine user when it comes to eggs.

    just you know ahead of time.. margarine has a slightly higher tolerance to heat than butter.

  5. just heat the pan slower as butter/margarine burns fast.  also cook the eggs slower.
