Hey can someone help me, i want to spray paint my laptop

Question

I want to spray paint it pink and decorate it with hello kitty, lol g*y i know but i love hello kitty! anyway, what is the best paint to use. Its a plastic surface, toshiba, dark gray. I want it to be really high gloss too. I will be covering all the openings with tape, i feel much safer doing that than to take it apart to paint. Anyway what spray paint should i use to make it shiny please dont tell me i have to sand it, i hate sanding LOL thanks for the help anyone

there's a special spray paint only for plastic. u can probably get it at like wal-mart.

not recommended. maybe use a hardcover or some stickers?

i dont think it will be a good idea. you would most likely mess up your laptop. SO DO NOT SPRAY PAINT DIRECTLY. i suggest buying hello kitty stickers or print offs then put them on a PLASTIC COVER. then put it on your laptop. which you could take off later or if you mess up.

Check you tube to see if there are any videos. Krylon makes a spray paint that works on plastic.

Hi Heaven,

Sounds like a fun project!  Krylon has the perfect product for you.  They have a spray on paint made just for plastic, and you DON'T HAVE TO DO ANY SANDING OR PREP WORK!

You can buy a 12 once can, which would be more than enough.  So practice on an empty soda bottle, till you get the hang of not having any drips or runs.  It helps to do lots of light coats, never spray it on heavy.

Make sure you really tape off your computer well, you don't want to go to all that work, just to ruin your lap top.

ok if i were you i would use a plastic spray paint and a small air brush and not do the inside like that cover parts not being sprayed and hand paint inside, i think you should do i pink then stickers then platc varnish this way colors contrast and look good for keys and buttons
