you can use a debit card for online purchases? its a visa debit card so i guess you can right?

yes, but you need to make sure that there is money deposited in the debit account, otherwise the payment will not go through (it's the opposite of a credit card where you can pay on credit).  in fact it's better to pay online using debit cards rather than credit cards.

Yup, anywhere that takes Visa. Just be careful you don't sign up for automatic billing or do anything else that might end up overdrawing your account.
