  5. the Corvette Diner in Hillcrest is a fun (if extremely crowded ANY time) experience if youre into old nostalgia 50s stuff, its busy and loud, the waitresses sing and throw bazooka gum.

    I also like Loves in Chula Vista for BBQ food. Also in Chula Vista "la Bella's" is the best pizza you'll find in San Diego - they are on 3rd avenue across from Dominos and have a limited delivery range.
