Umm... about 20, I think.  Many, but not all, are still in use today.

If you mean the temple which was the center of Jewish practice and in which the Jews used to perform sacrifices, the answer is 1, though it is currently destroyed.

If you mean synagogues, then the answer is in the hundreds.  I would guess it's not over 1000, but I would not be surprised.
