i just added this cool new thing called linux ubuntu and was wondering if anyone new anything worth knowing that would make my life easier ok thanks!

I suggest hitting the support website where you will get qualified answers from other Ubuntu users.

There should also be a tips section. My first suggestion to any Linux user is to start learning the command line commands. You will need them eventually.
