  1. Try looking on www.petfinder.com, there are puppies and adult dogs on there looking to be adopted.  I'm from Fargo ND and there are some poms in the classified adds in our newspaper, not sure how far you are from Fargo area but a lot of adds are from western MN as well.  www.in-forum.com is the newspaper's website

  2. Your best bet is to go onto petfinder and do a search for poms. That is pretty much the only way that you are going to be able to get a pom in the price range that you are seeking. Try looking a small breed rescues as well to see if they have any for adoption.

  3. dog shelter

  4. For that price? A dog shelter.

  5. The only place you are going to find a pomeranian puppy for that price is a shelter and there is no guarantee that it would be purebred.

Sometimes reputable breeders have adult females that are retired.  These females would be top quality.  They sometimes place them in approved homes only, for the cost of spaying and dental work.

These retired females, if from a good breeder are usually retired at a relatively young age with many good years ahead of them.

  6. Petfinder lists many shelters and rescue groups across the US & canada http://www.petfinder.com

Pom Rescue is Pomeranian specific: http://www.americanpomeranianclub.org/re...

There may be some backyard breeders that sell low quality dogs for that little, but you get what you pay for. And in Poms, that's usually luxating patellas, PRA, liver shunts, and similar heriditary problems.

PS - in response the the answer from Dian - 25-30% of the dogs that come into shelters are purebred.  And in rescue groups, especially breed specific rescues, the number is much higher.  The rescue I work with is 100% purebred as that's what our charter requires.

    Here's a baby pom that needs a home: http://www.petfinder.com/petnote/display...

Why does this dog needs to be so inexpensive?  Are you going to be able to afford vet care?

  7. look here

  8. contact a pom rescue.

  9. $100 to $300 is underpriced.  For that price you can rescue one available for adoption, but remember you're going to pay much much more for things like vet care, proper food, flea and heartworm prevention, and not to mention having enough money just in case an emergency vet visit is necessary.

If you're looking for a well-bred, healthy animal from a breeder, go to the national breed club and check their breeder referral list.  Don't go anywhere else if you're going to buy a puppy instead of adopt.  $800 is a fair price for a healthy pet quality puppy.
